Dua Training offers general refrigeration training and refrigerant handling and fillers training throughout New Zealand. Our courses are compliant with the latest HSNO requirements — ensuring you are legally authorised to handle all main types of refrigerant.

Why get trained?

Our courses ensure you are fully compliant with New Zealand law to handle refrigerant gas in and out of a cylinder. This is more important than ever with the introduction of flammable type refrigerants — non-compliance puts your business and clients at risk.

How long does training take?

Most courses run approximately 4–6 hours, completed at a venue of our choosing or at your own premises (subject to sufficient numbers). Online renewal courses take around 2 hours and can be completed at your own pace.

How do I register?

Browse our Courses page to enrol directly. If no course is currently available in your region, complete our Expression of Interest form and we’ll notify you as soon as one is scheduled near you.

How do I renew my licence?

Licences expire after 5 years. Renewal is quick and easy — done entirely online. Click here to renew and follow the simple steps. Your free photo licence card is included.

📌 HSNO Compliance

All Dua Training courses are designed to meet the requirements of New Zealand’s Hazardous Substances and New Organisms (HSNO) Act. Completion of our Refrigerant Fillers Licence course is a legal requirement for anyone working with regulated refrigerant gases in New Zealand.

Course Booking Terms & Conditions

Effective 1 January 2026. Subject to change without notice.

Bookings & Payment

  • › Course fees are due upon booking
  • › Payment processed via Stripe in NZD
  • › Invoices sent by email
  • › Booking constitutes a legally binding contract

Attendance & Certification

  • › Joining instructions sent by email
  • › Non-attendance is charged in full
  • › Certificates only issued upon full payment
  • › Dua Training may change venue, date or tutor if required

Cancellations & Transfers

  • › Cancellations must be made before course deadline
  • › Substitutions permitted — $50 + GST fee applies
  • › One transfer/substitution per booking only
  • › Written notice required for extenuating circumstances

Force Majeure

Dua Training shall not be liable for cancellations caused by war, fire, strike, industrial action, accident, civil disturbance, or any other cause beyond our reasonable control.
