Dua Refrigeration Training offer general refrigeration training and refrigerant handling and fillers training throughout New Zealand.Our training courses are compliant with the latest HSNO requirements and ensure that you are legally allowed to handle all main types of refrigerant including flammable.
Why should you be trained?
Our courses ensure you are compliant in law to handle refrigerant gas in and out of a cylinder. This is now more important than ever with the introduction of flammable type refrigerants.
How long does the training course take?
Most of our training courses last approximately 4 hours and are completed either at a venue of our choosing or at your own premises. (Subject to sufficient numbers)
How do I register for a course?
If a course is planned it will appear under the Current Courses menu item at the top of the page. Just click on the appropriate link to register.
If however no courses are listed you can complete our Expression of Interest form. When you have completed this form we will advise you automatically when a course is being created in the region you have selected.
How do I renew my license after the 5 year expiry?
We make this very easy. Just click on the renew license option above and follow the instructions to renew your license.
Course Booking Terms & Conditions
Effective from January 1st 2016. Please note these ‘Terms and Conditions’ may be subject to change without notice.
Booking
- For current course costs and dates, please refer to our website.
- Before booking onto the course, please ensure you have read the course content, to ensure the course will meet your training needs and that you are able to meet pre-requisites, where stated.
- In particular it must be understood that each delegate attending the Refrigerant Fillers courses would posess refrigeration industry knowledge and be familiar with general refrigeration tools and practice. Each attendee would be described at least as working in a refrigeration or air conditioning technician role or is likely to be following the course.
- If a course registration/booking form is completed by an individual other than the named candidate, it is the responsibility of the employer to ensure the candidate is suitable for the course and has the relevant experience.
- Upon receipt of your booking form, and subsequent payment your place(s) will be confirmed.
- Important note: Dua Training acceptance of your booking brings into existence a legally binding contract between us on these terms and conditions. Any term sought to be imposed by you in any purchase order or correspondence will not form part of the contract.
Invoicing and payment
- Course fees are payable upon booking. We use PayPal as an exclusive payment method that also provides a credit card payment option. PayPal is widely respected througout the world as one of the most secure on-line payment methods available. Your credit card details are kept secure and not disclosed to us at any time. - Paid Invoices will be sent via email to the name and address provided on the booking form.
- Payment must be made in New Zealand Dollar using the PayPal system provided.
Course attendance and certification
- Candidates will receive joining instructions via email to the email address provided on the booking form.
- It is the responsibility of the individual completing the course registration/booking form to ensure joining instructions are received by the candidate. Instructions will be sent via email to the email address provided on the booking form.
- If the joining instructions are not received, it is the responsibility of the individual who completed the course registration/booking form to contact Dua Training to arrange for them to be reissued.
- Failure to attend the course will result in the full cost being incurred.
- Dua Training will send all correspondence primarily via email to the email address provided on the booking form.
- No certificate(s) shall be issued if for any reason payment is not received by any delegate attending training.
- It may be necessary, for reasons beyond the control of Dua Training, to change the content and timing of the programme, the date, the venue or the tutor.
Cancellations and Amendments
- All requests for cancellations and/or transfers must be completed before the date and time allowed on each course, This is displayed at the booking form for each course and will vary.
- Failure to attend a booked course will result in a full charge for the event. No refund is given if no cancellation is made within the allowed time.
- In the event of an individual named on the booking form cannot attend, we will accept substitution of another delegate on the condition that the substitution delegate meets the requirements to attend as detailed above and written notification of the substitution has been received by us prior to the course date and an administration fee of $50 plus GST has been paid.
- Delegates are only permitted to one course transfer or substitution per booking. After this the full fee will be charged.
- In the event of there being insufficient numbers booked onto a course Dua Training reserves the right to cancel or postpone the course.
- In the event of cancellation of a course by Dua Training, we will endeavour to inform all participants a week before the course is due to take place, although please be aware that this is not always possible. All course fees paid will be reimbursed in full, or the payment will be transferred in full to another Dua Training course. Dua Training shall not accept liability for any consequential loss and shall have no liability to reimburse any other costs that may have been incurred, including transport costs, accommodation etc.
Extenuating Circumstances
- If you are unable to attend any of the course due to extenuating circumstances you must inform Dua Training in writing.
- If you were unable to attend due to illness you must provide evidence in the form of a doctor’s note.
Force Majeure
- Dua Training shall not be liable to refund of fees or for any other penalty should courses be cancelled due to war, fire, strike lock-out, industrial action, tempest, accident, civil disturbance or any other cause whatsoever beyond their control.
Entire Agreement
These terms and conditions, together with the current Dua Training website prices, course details and Dua Training contact details, set out the whole of our agreement relating to the supply of the course and associated materials and services to you by Dua Training. These terms and conditions cannot be varied except in writing signed by a Director of Dua Training. In particular, no terms and conditions incorporated within your purchase agreement and nothing said by any person on behalf of Dua Training should be understood as a variation of these terms and conditions or as an authorised representation about the nature or quality of any goods or services offered for sale by Dua Training. Dua Training shall have no liability for any such representation being untrue or misleading.
